Registration And Workshop

1. General Instructions

  • You are eligible to attend the conference only after completing your registration and receiving your unique Registration ID. The registration ID will be of the format of a “4 digit number” unique to each participant. "PLEASE BRING A COPY/PRINTOUT OF THE REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION MAIL TO THE CONFERENCE.
  • The rates mentioned include only participation fees for conference events and meals (tea, lunch, dinner)

If you are applying for membership, you will be charged a member’s registration fees during time of payment along with the membership fees. Students can apply for life membership only if they have completed their graduation (atleast bachelors degree).

2. Payment Instructions

  • Payment for registration is accepted via NEFT and Demand Draft.
  • If you are an international participant, please email us at nsi2017.organisingsec@gmail.com We will assist you through the process.
  • There will be no refunds possible on any payment made for registration
  • The amount will be based on membership, occupational and residential status
  • If there is an additional person accompanying you, who is not participating in the conference but would like to in events and meals, please register and indicate the same. This person will not be eligible for the NSI 2017 Conference participation certificate nor participation in pre-conference workshops. This person will be eligible only for participation in conference events and meals.

     2.1 NEFT

  • If you have made your Payment via NEFT, please give us 2 working days from filling the form to approve your request for registration and participation.
  • Please add “49th Annual Conference of NSI” as an NEFT Transfer Beneficiary (if online).

  • If you are paying via NEFT, you will be prompted at the end of the form to enter the NEFT Transaction Details (in case of NEFT). You will be required to make the payment prior to filling the form. The required amount will be as displayed in the table below. Any accompanying person who wishes to take part in events and meals will be charged Rs. 3000.

     2.2 Demand Draft

  • The entire process may take up to 6-7 working days depending on receiving DD at AAU and confirmation of registration and participation.
  • If you are an international participant, please email us at nsi2017.organisingsec@gmail.com We will assist you through the process.
  • If you are paying via Demand Draft, you will be prompted at the end of the form to enter the Demand Draft details. You will be required to make the payment prior to filling the form. The required amount will be displayed once you select the payment method, Check-in and Check-out timings.
  • Demand Draft needs to be in favour of “49th ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF NSI” payable at Jorhat.
  • The Demand Draft scanned copy has to be sent to nsi2017.organisingsec@gmail.com and the original has to be sent to the below mentioned address.

3. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • When is the last date to apply for registration for conference?
    • We do not have a last date for registration. However, there are special early bird registration fees for all registrations before 31st August, 2017.
  • When is the last date to apply for the Pre-Conference workshops?
    • The last date to apply to pre-conference workshops is 31st August, 2017. We have a deadline for the same, as we need to arrange the halls, as well as facilities for our workshop participants.
  • Is there a limit on workshop participants?
    • Yes, for each workshop the limit is different. We request you to check the workshop details for further information.
  • My payment confirmation was late as I paid by NEFT/DD method. The workshop I wish to participate is full. What should I do?
    • We deeply apologize if you encountered this situation. However, our workshops are available on a limited and first-come-first-serve basis. We would provide you with workshop participation if available and would inform you as soon as slots become available. For confirmation of workshop participation, we first check if we received the payment, then check if participation slots are available. Only after that we confirm your participation in workshops. In such cases, we will contact you and inform you about possible options.
  • Is there a discount for Registration?
    • The rates are discounted for event participation as per membership, residential and occupational status.
  • How can I pay for registration/workshop participation during NSI 2017 Conference?
    • You can pay via NEFT and Demand Draft. We would require 2-7 days to reconcile your payment after receiving notification of your payment.
  • What does the cost of registration/ participation cover?
    • The cost of registration for conference covers all events on 2nd, 3rd ,4th of November you are eligible to participate in. It also covers your meals. The cost of registration for workshop covers workshop registration fees, workshop materials and meals for 3rd November.
  • What does the cost of registration/ participation not cover?
    • The cost of registration does not cover accommodation and transport charges.
  • How do I pay via NEFT?
    • NEFT payment instructions are covered in Section 2.1 of this page. If you have any further queries, please email us at nsi2017.organisingsec@gmail.com We will respond to you within 24 hours.
  • How do I pay via Demand Draft?
    • Demand Draft payment instructions are covered in Section 2.2 of this page. If you have any further queries, please email us at nsi2017.organisingsec@gmail.com We will respond to you within 24 hours.
  • I would like to stay in Bangalore for a few more days. Could I avail accommodation in the same room/same hotel?
    • We would be happy to have you visit our lovely city if you get time. Please register for accommodation separately here. However, the availability of accommodation as well as the rates mentioned for accommodation are valid only for the dates of the conference (2nd November to 4th November 2017). You could talk to the hotel management and extend your stay under standard hotel rates, as applicable.
  • How do I commute to the Hotel and Venue?
    • Once your accommodation is confirmed, we will send you a mail with instructions on how to reach the hotel. Moreover, there will be shuttle services which will be operating on a timing basis from major pick-up points to the hotels. All hotels are near the venue. We will also be arranging a shuttle service from the hotel to the venue.
  • What do I need to carry?
    • Carry a government issued ID card (Driving License, PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Passport, Voter ID Card etc) along with a copy of the registration confirmation email confirming your participation (print or e-copy).
  • Am I eligible for refunds if I cancel my NSI 2016 Conference registration?
    • No, you are not eligible for refunds.
